ブライアン・イーノの個展「BRIAN ENO AMBIENT KYOTO」のスタッフ達が着用するポロシャツは山城が作ったオリジナル。
濃紺の美しい色彩と山城ならではの心地よい生地感が、
ブライアン・イーノが届けるアンビエントの世界観を体現する。
The polo shirts worn by the staff of Brian Eno’s solo exhibition “BRIAN ENO AMBIENT KYOTO” are originals made by Yamashiro.
The dark blue color and comfortable fabric feel unique to Yamashiro,
and the comfortable texture of Yamashiro’s fabric embody Brian Eno’s ambient worldview.
興味深く聞くことも、聞き流すこともでき、あらゆる聞き方を受容する「アンビエントミュージック」は、ブライアン・イーノが生み出した20世紀の音楽文化の革命だ。
このアンビエントな世界観は、驚くほどに京都に似合う。
京都に流れる時間、空気、風情、景色。
それぞれの持つ美しさが、新しい世界を生み出すようだ。
Ambient music,which can be listened to in an interesting or passive way and is receptive to all kinds of listening, is a revolution in 20th century music culture created by Brian Eno.
This ambient worldview is surprisingly suited to Kyoto.

会期中は毎日着用するからこそ、着心地にはこだわった。
素肌への優しさと洗濯のしやすさもポイントだ。
アンビエントキョウトとの取り組みは、京都開催を目論んだ時から水面下で始まった。日本で、そして京都で開催する意義を最大限活かしたい、訪れる来場者へ最大のおもてなしを届けたいというスタッフの思いに共鳴した。
山城の蒸し暑い夏をストレスフリーにしてくれる生地で、1日600人訪れるという労力を少しても軽くすることで余白が生まれ、訪れてくれる来場者にアンビエントという世界観を体感して欲しいとの思いを形にした。
Because they will be worn every day during the exhibition, we were particular about their comfort.
Gentleness to the skin and ease of washing are also key points.
The collaboration with Ambient Kyoto began behind the scenes when we planned to hold the exhibition in Kyoto.
We want to make the most of the significance of holding the event in Japan and Kyoto.
The staff’s desire to provide the greatest possible hospitality to visitors resonated with us.
The fabrics were designed to make the hot and humid summer in Yamashiro stress-free, and to lighten the workload of 600 visitors per day, thereby creating a margin of space and allowing visitors to experience the world of ambient.
時間という概念を超え、瞬きするたびに、
新しい世界に連れていくブライアン・イーノの世界。
自動生成される膨大な数のヴィジュアルは7700万通り。
この空間で刻まれる美しくも儚い瞬間を感じ出会うとき、
きっと新しい扉が開かれる。
Transcending the concept of time, every blink of an eye,
Brian Eno’s world takes you to a new world.
The vast number of automatically generated visuals is 77 million.
When you feel and encounter the beautiful yet fleeting moments that are carved in this space,
a new door will surely open.
