記憶を辿る 6話
– 世界から戦争がなくなる日 –

カトリックならではの様々な行事が思い出されるが、とりわけクリスマスの行事は盛大だった。
三条にある教会でキリスト誕生や聖母マリアにちなんだ学芸会を披露し、園に戻ればサンタがビルの上から登場。
そういえば、TV出演デビューをしたのもこの頃だ。
生祥公園にあったプールで遊ぶ子A君でデビューし、立て続けに信愛に新築されたアスレチックの上から明日の天気を伝える予報士で出演。
天気予報では、緊張で声がガラガラになって周りに大笑いされ、「カットカット！」と友人達が囃し立てたが放送されたことを思い出す。
この記事を書くにあたってサイトを見ると、それなりのラグジュアリー具合だったから当時の信愛もそれなりの子達が通う幼稚園だったのだろう。バラ組の友人は一様に名だたるお家柄、京都銘菓会社の長男(親の喧嘩はお札の破り合いと言っていた)、有名不動産会社の子、医者の娘や宝石商のお嬢ちゃんといった錚々たるラインナップ。
多くが車で通園するような幼稚園だったから、登園後にはよくそのまま車で友人の家に遊びに行った。会社の人が迎えに来ていた子もいるし、お爺ちゃんやお手伝いさんがお迎えだったパターンもある。全てがセレブ感満載だった訳ではないが、やはり目立っていた。
お招きされた家と自身の家の違いぐらいは認識できた。
なにしろ遊びに行く家は、豪邸かデザイン性に溢れた家ばかり。家に門や庭があるのはデフォルトで、ブランコや砂場がある家まであったのだから。
お誕生日会なんて、当時の写真を見ると恥ずかしさで震え上がってしまう。
別珍で作られたドレスにフリフリシャツ、溢れるほどあるリカちゃん人形。その中に一丁羅を着ながら鼻を垂れた坊主の姿。場違いもココまでくれば世界から戦争がなくなる天晴れ感である。

The church in Sanjo would host arts and crafts related to the birth of Christ and the Virgin Mary, and back at the school, Santa Claus would appear from the top of the building.
It was also around this time that I made my TV debut.
I made my debut as a child playing in the swimming pool at Ikusho Park, followed by an appearance as a forecaster telling tomorrow’s weather from the top of the athletic gymnasium newly built at Shinai.
During the weather forecast, my voice rattled with nervousness, and I was laughed at by those around me. and my friends were so amused that they were laughing at me, but I remember that it was broadcast.
When I looked at the Shinai website for this article, I saw that the kindergarten had a certain level of luxury, so Shinai must have been a kindergarten for a very good group of children at that time. The friends of the Rose Class were all from prominent families, including the eldest son of a famous Kyoto confectionery company (he said his parents’ quarrel was tearing up bills), a child of a famous real estate company, a daughter of a doctor, and a young lady of a jewelry business.
Many of them drove to kindergarten, so they often drove to their friends’ houses after school. Some children were picked up by their employers, while others were picked up by their grandfathers or nannies. Not all were full of celebrity, but they still stood out.
I could at least recognize the difference between the house I was invited to and my own house.
The houses I visited were either mansions or well-designed houses. By default, houses had gates and gardens, and some even had swings and sandboxes.
When I look at pictures of birthday parties from those days, I shudder with embarrassment.
Dresses made of special fabric, frilly shirts, and an overflowing number of Rika-chan dolls. Among them, there was a monk with his nose running down his nose while wearing a dress. It is a wonderful feeling that wars will disappear from the world if even out of place.
この天晴れ無邪気バカで逸話がある。
友人の中に大型のシェパードを飼っている家があった。
この家ではそのシェパードが最大の鬼門だったようで、会社の社員のみならず、お手伝いさんや家族でさえも彼の居る場所から避けるように玄関に入っていた。
そんな事を知らない犬好きバカは、何気に近寄り撫で回したのだ。
その途端、友人の母親は発狂。言葉にならない言葉を発し、止めに入りたいが止められない。右住左住、地団駄、大人のあんな姿をあれ以来見たことがない。
そんな状態の中、彼女の背丈以上あるシェパードは、私におぶさるように戯れ、舐め回し一体化していた。ワンシーンを切り取るなら、犬が幼児を噛んでいるように見えたかもしれない。
この時、彼女は生きた心地がしなかったであろう。私は「大丈夫大丈夫」と言って、一層の同質化を図っていたことも覚えている。
その後は巨大浴場でひとっ風呂と晩御飯を呼ばれ、迎えが来るまで至れり尽くせりである。家に帰ってから、「怖かったよぉ」などと言われた日にはたまったもんじゃないからだ。
いや下世話か…お坊ちゃん宅でのベーシックだったのか。
ただそれ以来、その豪邸に遊びに行くとシェパードと遊ぶのが日課になったのだが、初日に頂いたオモテナシはなかったから、お坊ちゃんだからこそ教育はちゃんとしていたんだと思う。
今でもたまにニュースで熊に襲われた、犬に噛まれたなどというムツゴロウさん的ニュースが耳に入ってくるが、人間とは違う力を持ってしまったけど、ただ遊びたかっただけなのではないだろうか? 俺も、私もここに居るよと言いたかっただけなんじゃなかろうか? などと思ってしまうアホが、こうして出来上がった逸話である。

In the midst of all this, a shepherd, more than her height, was playing with me, licking and licking me in unison. If she had cut out a scene, it might have looked like a dog biting a toddler.
She must have felt like she was not alive at the time. I also remember saying, “It’s okay, it’s okay,” and trying to further unify the two.
After that, she called me for taking a bath at a huge bathhouse and dinner, and I was very satisfied until my parents came to pick me up. It would have been terrible if I had been told after I got home that I had been scared.
Or maybe it was just a basic thing at my friend’s house.
But since then, it has become a routine for me to play with the shepherd when I visit the mansion, but I did not receive any treats from them on the first day, so I think they were educated properly.
Even now, I sometimes hear Mutsugoro-san-like news on the news about bear attacks, dog bites, etc. I wonder if they just wanted to play, though they now have different powers from humans? I wonder if they just wanted to say, “I’m here too”. This is the anecdote of an idiot who thinks “I’m here”.
