かつて銀行として使われていたレトロな建物「京都中央信用金庫 旧厚生センター」で、ブライアン・イーノの大規模展覧会『BRIAN ENO AMBIENT KYOTO』が開催されている。

アンビエント・ミュージックの創始者であり、ヴィジュアル・アートに革命をもたらしたことでも知られる「ブライアン・イーノ」

建物の1階から3階までがブライアン・イーノの世界で溢れている。
大小の空間を使ったインスタレーション、会場の廊下や階段に盆栽や石。スペシャルなショップ、そして流れる音楽まで。
すべてがここでしか出会えないものばかり。

BRIAN ENO AMBIENT KYOTO, a large-scale exhibition of Brian Eno, is being held at the Kyoto Chuo Shinkin Bank’s former welfare center, a retro building that was once used as a bank.

Brian Eno” is known as the founder of ambient music and for revolutionizing visual art.

The first three floors of the building are filled with Brian Eno’s world.
Installations using large and small spaces, bonsai trees and stones in the hallways and stairways of the venue. Special stores and music.

世界中で開催されるブライアン・イーノの個展でも、この京都で開催されるからこそのこだわりポイントがいくつもある。例えば入り口の暖簾。暖簾をくぐるという、日本ならではの文化。
静謐な世界観の入り口へ誘うように佇むその姿は、
京都の街によく似合う。

靴を脱いでリラックスするスタイルも、他国で開催された個展にはない。日本ならではのスタイルだ。

京菓子職人の匠の技で、ブライアン・イーノの世界観を表現したまさに京都ならではの特別な逸品である。

And here is a gem unique to Kyoto.
Original wagashi made by Kyoto’s representative long-established confectionery shop, Kagizen Yoshifusa.
These beautiful wagashi, which reflect Brian Eno’s world view, are a rare commodity, as they do not arrive in stock every day.

会場内に流れる音楽も作品のひとつだ。

実はお手洗いの中でも、イーノの音を堪能できるらしい。
